The Andréa Rizzo Foundation raises funds to support children with cancer and special needs, fostering Andréa’s dreams of providing dance/movement therapy to children with cancer and special education needs.

The Foundation is run entirely on a volunteer basis. It is exclusively dedicated to the growth and success of Dréa’s Dream, a dance therapy/movement program for infants, children and young adult populations in hospitals, special education classrooms and medical settings throughout the country.

The Andréa Rizzo Foundation is the only 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non profit organization in the United States that provides grants which directly fund dance/movement therapy programming exclusively for children with cancer and special needs.

Programs are led by Registered and Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapists (R-DMT and BC-DMT) .

You can help us provide dance/movement therapy to more children…

Watch this informative video with International Medical Creative Arts Therapy Spokesperson, Dr. Suzi Tortora, Ed., BC-DMT, LCAT, CMA, LMHC, who helped pioneer the first Dréa’s Dream dance/movement therapy program with medically fragile children at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in 2003.

Andréa’s love of dance and her dancing spirit live on in the dancing feet of the children in the hospital that saved her own life.
